Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Halo TV application (package name tv.halovide.halotv, the "App") and the website at halovide.tv (together, the "Services"), provided by Fenglinde International Trading Company Limited ("we", "us" or "our"). By downloading, installing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. The App
Halo TV is a home screen (launcher) for Android TV and Google TV devices. It helps you organise and open apps already installed on your device, view weather information and browse local files. Halo TV does not itself provide, host or stream any films, television programmes or other media content.
2. Licence
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on devices that you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by us.
3. Restrictions
You must not, and must not allow others to:
- copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent or sublicense the App;
- reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the App, except to the extent permitted by applicable law;
- remove, block or interfere with advertisements, notices or security features in the App;
- use the Services in violation of any law or the rights of others; or
- use the Services to access content you are not authorised to access.
4. Third-party apps and content
The App lets you launch apps and services provided by third parties, such as streaming services. Those apps and their content are provided by their respective owners under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party apps, their content, availability or subscriptions. Third-party names and logos shown in the App or on our website are trademarks of their respective owners, and their appearance does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement of Halo TV.
5. Advertising
The App is free and supported by advertising. You agree that the App may display advertisements provided by third-party advertising partners. Our handling of information in connection with advertising is described in our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements or for any dealings you have with advertisers.
6. Privacy
Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what information the App accesses and how it is used.
7. Updates and availability
We may release updates that add, change or remove features, and some updates may be required to continue using the App. We may suspend or discontinue the Services, in whole or in part, at any time. Features may vary by device, region and operating system version.
8. Intellectual property
The App, the Halo TV name and logo, the website and all related software, design and content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks.
9. Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free or compatible with every device, or that weather information will be accurate.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the App (if any) and HK$100. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time by uninstalling the App. We may suspend or terminate your licence if you breach these Terms. Sections 4, 8, 9, 10 and 12 survive termination.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The courts of Hong Kong have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If you continue to use the Services after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
